The Friends are a group of volunteers who love the Library but are separate from the Library Board of Trustees. You do not need to live in Homer to be a Friend. If you would like more information, or are interested in becoming a Friend, pick up a membership form in the Library, like them on Facebook, or email libraryfriends00@gmail.com
Friends of the Homer Community Library is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose purpose is to create interest in the Homer Community Library, to provide volunteers and support for special projects of the library, to promote literacy, to function as an advocate group for the library, and to work to ensure adequate funds for the library through gifts, fundraising, and promotion.
The Friends group was formed in 2018 and is open to all individuals or groups interested in holding a common goal of stimulating good library service and support of the community.
